Clutch Word Clutch In The Form Of The Survey And Its Analysis

The separable word is a kind of special language unit in Modern Chinese. They have the sense of wholeness,but the relationship between the morphemes is not so close as word, and can be separated to a certain extent. The study of separable word is started from the 1950s, particularly after 1980s, it entered a period of rapid development, and has become a vital topic in linguistics field. For a long time, the study of separable word is based on some typical ones, failed to carry out a survey of the whole, which, to some extent, affected the excellent agreement between analysis results and the actual situation. In view of this, the purpose of this study is, with the help of the CCL Modern Chinese corpus, to make a detailed survey of the separable word, so we can understand it better, and also we can provide useful advice to the study of separable word and its use.The main method we adopted is investigation and statistics during the process of writing this article, and we analysed and discussed some related issues of the separable word based on this investigation. In order to make this investigation more scientific, we chose the "Modern Chinese Dictionary"(fifth edition).We made a detailed statistics of the separable words which the dictionary includes, and according to the the different structures, the ratio of the number of different structures and the first morpheme,500 ones were selected which we would make a detailed survey through CCL Modern Chinese corpus.Based on the investigation, we found that, in theory, the separable word has two forms: combined form and split form. But in fact, the common form of the most separable words is combined one, only a small part of it is split form.As the split form, the main usage is low discrete, the moderate and high discrete usage is less frequently. In the specific split form, there are four different types of it:inserting other words, overlapping, changing the position and mixed style, and each one has certain usage restrictions.In addition, based on this survey, we analyzed the differences in semantic and pragmatic aspects between combined form and split form. We still redefined the nature of the separable word by the prototype theory, and discussed the issues of POS tagging and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.The research results as we mentioned above are based on previous studies and the survey we did through CCL Modern Chinese corpus, obviously there are some shortcomings. Our study aimed at using corpus technology for further research about the phonomenon of separable word, so that we can investigate the separable word in a larger corpus and better understand it..
