The auxiliary verb is a group of words belonging to verb, and it has its own particular grammatical feature. The paper studies all the auxiliary verbs in Zhu Zi Yu Nei by analyzing them from three aspects of syntactic, semantic and pragmatic in order to outline the characteristics of Chinese auxiliary verbs during that time and the development of the auxiliary verb.Firstly, we give a brief introduction of Zhu Zi Yu Nei ,ZhuXi and the auxiliary verb concerning its name, concept of parts of speech and its position in the phrase system . Moreover, we bring up the present of state of research in the auxiliary verb, the present problem and present our own standpoint in the contrast.Secondly, we study specifically the auxiliary verbs in Zhu Zi Yu Nei. According to their semantic, we analyze and describe specially the auxiliary in this book one by one. Then, we sort out the system of the monosyllabic auxiliary verbs in Zhu Zi Yu Nei in some degree.There are 21 monosyllabic auxiliary verbs in Zhu Zi Yu Nei which is divided into three paper: the auxiliary verbs for possibility, the auxiliary verbs for wish and the auxiliary verbs to ought to. We observe and study the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic of every monosyllabic auxiliary verb in usage, putting great emphasis on the type of syntactical structure in which every monosyllabic auxiliary verb appears.Thirdly, we analyze statistically the usage of the disyllabic auxiliary verbs in Zhu ZiYuNei.Finally, we compare the usage of the auxiliary verbs in Zhu Zi Yu Nei with those in Si Shu in the pre-Qin and Shi Shuo Xin Yu ,we discover that there are some changes of the auxiliary verb and explain the changes from the standpoint of pragmatics.We differentiate the auxiliary verbs of the similar meaning in syntactic, semantic and pragmatics. In conclusion, the auxiliary verb is an organic system of each independent and adding to each other.
