There is a dramatic increase of suicide rate in adolescence. Manyscholars attach importance to suicide ideation, the forepart ofunaccomplished suicide and accomplished suicide. Although depression ishighly relevant with suicide ideation, it is not sufficient to predict thesuicide ideation style and prevent suicidal behavior only according to thedepression level. This study has been performed by a combination of,questionnaire survey, emotional stroop task and handwriting task, by whichwe can more accurately identify young people with different levels ofdepression and various types of suicide ideation. It becomes feasible toexplore differences in response between various types of young people,given neutral, positive, negative or suicide related terms and in handwritingcharacters between various types of young people, given character "shu(术) ", neutral, positive, negative or suicide related terms. These externalparameters provide us effective detection methods and a novel platform toprevent or reduce youth suicide in the future. In this study, it can beconcluded:1. The number of boys with deep depression and suicide ideation issignificantly higher than that of girls, although the number of boys withdeep depression is lower. The number of high school students issignificantly higher than that of junior school students. And the differencesare even significant pronounced in youth with suicide ideation. Thedepression level of youth with suicide ideation is significantly higher thanthat of those without suicide ideation. The suicide ideation is more severeaccompanied by high level of depression.2. There is no difference in response to neutral terms in youth withdifferent types of depression and suicide ideation. The response of peoplewith deep depression or suicide ideation to negative terms is much slowerthan that of light depressed. To the suicide related terms, the response ofdeep depressed people or those with suicide ideation is significantly quicker.3. The writing speed of young people with suicide ideation issignificantly faster than that of those without suicide ideation, whatever theyare writing. During writing suicide related words, the initial gaps appears tobe much less produced by the people with high level of depression. Theyshow a lower speed in writing neutral words.4. In comparison of absolute value of the handwriting parameters, thespeed of writing positive words by symptomatic people is higher than thatby asymptomatic. In writing negative words, the higher depressed peopleare doing significantly slower than lower depressed.
