Youth Internet Self-efficacy, The Search Strategy And Information Anxiety

The popularity of the Internet increasingly younger age,adolescents have gradually become the most important group of Internet users.But the survey found that adolescents use the function of information far less than the function of entertainment and Social interaction.In this context,the present study explored the relations among the adolescents of Internet self-efficacy(ISE),Internet information search strategies and Internet information anxiety,for making some psychological suggestions for the young people use Internet.Aaccording to the theoretical structure of the Library Anxiety Scale and the titles of the Intemet Anxiety scale,the present study produced the Adolescent Internet Information Anxiety Questionnaire(AIIAQ).After item analysis,factor analysis and reliability analysis,the questionnaire shows good reliability and validity indicators.Next,The present study conducted a questionnaire survey and an experiment to examine the status of the adolescents' ISE,Internet information search strategies and Internet information anxiety,and also the relations among them.488 students from secondary school in Shandong Province participant this study.The research has some findings.(1) The gender and the grade have the interactive effects on the information function dimension of ISE,and there has a significant grade difference on ISE and its other two dimensions.(2) The gender and the grade have the interactive effects on the emotional dimension of Internet information anxiety,and there has a significant grade difference on Internet information anxiety and its other three dimensions.(3) Adolescents mainly use analysis search strategy and hybrid search strategy when searching information online,and hardly use heuristic search strategy.There is significant difference on the Internet Information Anxiety between two strategies users.(4) It shows significantly negative relation between adolescents' ISE and their lnternet information anxiety.(5) Hybrid search strategy plays significant the moderator effects on the negative relation between the adolescents' ISE and their Internet information anxiety, and the negative relation between the information function dimension of ISE and their Internet information anxiety.The results show that adolescents shows some anxiety when use the information function of Internet.ISE and search strategy have effects on the Internet information anxiety.So,we could descend adolescents' Internet information anxiety by enhancing their level of ISE,and teaching them hybrid search strategy at the same time.
