Work and family life cannot separate in our personal life. Many academics focus on studying the relationship between work and family life. Work and family conflict increase the level of staff’s career burnout so that decrease the motivation of work. This paper is studying the relationship between these two parts, and adding the personality trait as a moderator to research these two parts creatively, in order to figure out how the work-family conflict affect the career burnout, and explore the mechanism between work-family conflict and career burnout. This paper has follow conclusions through questionnaire and statistic analysis:1. Work-family conflict can predict the three dimentions of burnout positivly and significantly;2. Neuroticism can predict emotional exhaustion、depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment of the three dimentions of burnout positivly and significantly;3. Conscientiousness can negatively moderator the effect of work-family conflict on depersonalization; conscientiousness can negatively moderator the effect of work-family conflict on reduced personal accomplishment; neuroticism can positivly moderator the effect of work-family conflict on depersonalization.According to the above analysis, first of all,we illustrate the background, meaning, and creation point of the studying, and the structure of this paper. Secondly, this paper summarizes the concept and situation of research in work-family conflict, personality trait, and burnout. Moreover, we design the research, including research subject, research instrument, research method, research hypothesis, and prepare some questionnaire and statistic analysis in order to achieve an inclusion. Then, this paper provides some specific strategies to reduce the negative effect on career burnout from the firm aspect and employee aspect. At last, we discuss the limitation of the research from sample selection, variable selection and research method, and provide some suggestions for the forward research.
