The Silk Road transcontinented The East and The West, stretch for thousands of miles, which is the ancient Eastern and Western artery of communications and the trade way between China ancient people and Western people. It accelerated economic and cultural exchanges between Eastern and Western, which made indelible contribution for Chinese and National civilization development. Tang Dynasty is Chinese millennium, whose politic, economic and cultural development is leading position in the world. The confident China conmmunicated with the world in breadth of vision and open posture. The Silk Road in this period was at its best, where the trade exchange was in an endless stream, commercial trade was property boom. Recently, the research of Silk Road is deepened in academe with the world cultural heritage job, study of the Silk Road in the academic community was deepened, but the study focuses on investigation of Silk Road route, preservation and exploitation of ruins tracks and so on. There are some publications about economic of Silk Road, but it lacks of studys about Silk Road's commerce especially markets. By means of investigation and analysis of ancient books, unearthed documents and historical site remains, my degree paper will restore market distribution along the Silk Road in Tang Dynasty, dicuss the market's nature, type and object, investigate the change of Northwestern market in the Tang Dynasty in its early and late period, and analysis its reason, law and action mechanism, in order to be helpful to society.Regional study is an important part of historical geography. In a prescribed region, there are some similarity in natural environment, historical cultures and customs, so in some historical geography study, to divide a region into marked sectors so that it may promote features and typicalness. In the introduction My degree paper definite object and area of study, clear the contents and significances of study, analysis the research situation of the Silk Road study, and find the breakthrough point and mind of study according the data feature. Region's development relies to natural and social environment, so I introduce natural and social environment of Silk Road in chapter one in order to analysis environmental bases of Silk Road's market development. Then divide the Silk Road of Tang Dynasty into two period which bound with An-Shih Rebellion, so that restore the Silk Road route before and after of An-Shih Rebellion that as a basis for discuss in next part. According to regional typicality and peculiarity principle, I will divide Northwest in China into eastern Silk Road,Western Regions and Guannei Dao, discuss the development of business market respectively, and analysis the object, type and marketing distribution of trade. Breakthrough point of commercial center, I discuss the reason and function of Silk Road market's change, and then make a conclusion.According to the analysis of three regions, I think there is a great change of Silk Road market between before and after of Tang Dynasty. On the whole, before An-Shih Rebellion, the Silk Road was opened, trade between the East and the West was frequently, the market of Silk Road developed quickly, and most county and state along the Silk Road became important business city or town. For example, Shazhou and Gan zhou of Helong area was famous commercial center in Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty, but after Chang'an year, Liangzhou grew up, and to be cosmopolitan city in the Silk Road instead of Ganzhou. Xizhou in Western Regions became local trade center. The commerce and trade of Yuanzhou in Guannei Dao outdistanced the other County and State. After An-Shih Rebellion, traditional Silk Road line was broken off, Uighurs Dao and Lingzhou Dao became the main road between the eastern and western worlds. Liangzhou, Yuanzhou and Xizhou's market began to decline because of invades and occupation from the Tubo. However, trade of Lingzhou, Tingzhou and other place in Silk Road new line were beginning to developing, and became a cosmopolitan city in the Silk Road. After all, making a comprehensive survey about evolution of Silk Road in Tang Dynasty and change of market structure in Northwest, its market development has some features:first of all, market of eastern Silk Road, Western Region and Guannei Dao were relatively independent, and their trade's object and type were diverse from each other. Second, the change of Silk Road is an important reason of Northwestern market's change in Tang Dynasty, and the change of line decided the rise and decline of market. Third, there was phenomenon that commercial center and the military and administrative center were satukan in Northwest when Tang Dynasty. Forth, Military factors still take an important position in development of Northwestern market in Tang Dynasty. At last, market trade of Northwest in Tang Dynasty was mainly transit trade, its commodity economy has grown a lot, but it hasn't turned the structure and layout of farming industry and handicraft industry in Silk Road.
