After reform and opening policy in 1978, China's economic have development rapidly, the comprehensive national strength have enhanced obviously, and so playing a more and more important role in the international society. Multilateral diplomacy as a form of states contacts, captured nations'attention after World War II, and had a positive effect in solving major issues of international society. This paper is worked over the multilateral diplomatic activities of China carried out in East Asia . For China, a stable international environment especially a stabe peripheral enviroment is an important condition to build a socialist country. East Asia embodies China's core national interests, and takes a very important position among all the surrounding regions of China.This article centers on the multilateral diplomatic activities in East Asia which China participates in or initiates; discusses the international and domestic background of China multilateral foreign policy's change in East Asia; summarizes the general characteristic as well as the important meaning to socialist construction of these multilateral activities that China participates in East Asia ; and finally, summarizes the influences that impact these multilateral diplomatic activities that China participates in East Asia ,and in the light of these influencing factors ,I puts forward some suggestions, hoped can be able to suggest plans for our country in the East Asia multilateral diplomatic activities.
