As the endogenous system of spontaneous forming and developing in China’s rural economic reform, system of villager autonomy is a newly rural grass-root organizations emerged after the dissolution of the people’s commune. It is a great system, which effectively solved the shortage of system of rural grass-roots and the "organizational vacuum" problem occurred after the collapse of the people’s commune, which also lead rural areas out of order crisis situation. Since the 1980s, villager autonomy has been maturing. Villager autonomy emphasizes that the villagers realize development of themselves and their own village through self-management, self-monitoring, self-service, including through political participation realize villager autonomy. As part of the village, the rural woman is the subject of political participation in villager autonomy. Rural women’s participation in politics will not only help realize the system of villager autonomy, but also play an important role in promoting Socialist Democratic Politics. However, due to various reasons, political participation of rural women achieved the continuous development and progress, at the same time there are also a number of shortcomings under the system of villager autonomy in China, which results in the low levels of political participation and the positive attitude of participation phenomenon among rural women.Under the background of villager autonomy system, this paper bases on the Marxist feminism and gender theory, and selects A village in Lingwu city, Ningxia Province as study area for the study of the village women’s political participation. Through the village of women’s political participation in field investigations, this paper explores the follow contents. First, from the behavior of institutionalized and non-institutionalized political participation reveals women’s political participation in villager autonomy in A village, and found that the village women is still not universal and full participating in politics. There exist many problems, as the passive participating behavior, the profit-driven and herd participating motivation, and the low level and subjective perception. Secondly, from four factors, including the women own condition, the traditional cultural values, the condition and institution of economy, and the regulatory analyzing the affecting factors for the political participation of women in A village, obtain that the low level of women’s political participation is the result of many factors, as women’s own reasons, and cultural, economic, political reasons in A village. Finally, as to the problem and factor existing at women’s political participation, we recommend five areas to improve women’s political participation in villager autonomy in A village: improving the ability and awareness of political participation among rural women, safeguard the material base of political participation, creating a good atmosphere in favor of rural women’s political participation, exerting the role of rural women’s organizations, improving laws and regulations to protect political participation system of the rural woman in A village.
