Xi'an Overseas Tourist Flow, Spatial And Temporal Dynamic Analysis

Tourism flow, with a narrow and a wide sense, is an very importantpart in tourism research. In the narrow sense, it refers to tourist flow:in the wide sense, it is a gigantic system taking tourist flow as itsmain body, and flow of information,goods and materials,culture included.Now, there is not enough research on time distribution and spatialbehavior of tourist from the outside frontier of China. In the view ofthe research weakness, and on the base of the item of National NaturalScience Fund named"Research on inbound tourist flow of China.", selectingxi' an as the sample, the thesis analyzes direction traits and flow scale,and the analysis conclusions are helpful to afford decision-makings andtheory-supportings for Tourism Management Department and TourismEnterprises.Five parts are included in this thesis:Part one: Present research situation of tourist flow in academicresearch field. Through the information and data, draw the conclusionof research weakness in tourist flow.Part two: Analysis on tourist market from the outside frontier ofChina in xi'an, including development speed and scale,age,gender,professionals and so on.Part three: Time analysis on tourist flow from the outside frontierof China in xi'an. Index of yearly change,Index of seasonal change andIndex of monthly concentration are applied in this part.Part four: Spatial behavior analysis on tourist flow from the outsidefrontier of China in xi'an. In this part, Pro-scene degree and Index ofmarket opportunity are used.Part five: Expansion to Overseas tourist market. Based on the analysison present situation of Overseas tourist market and influential factors,strategies of feasible market expansion are put forward.
