Yangling Agricultural High-tech Industries Demonstration Zone Development Mode

In 1997, under the authorization of the state Council, the first state-level agricultural hi-tech industry demostration zone in china was setup in Yangling, Shanxi Province. For the Past 3 years, Yangling has witnessed remarkable achievements, yet, meticulous efforts are needed to fiilfill further goals. This Present paper, on the basis of the past relevant experiences at home and abroad, conducts a detailed analysis of the present situation of Yangling and the problems it is confronted with. The papers fall into six parts: Part I . introduction: It reviews the establishment of the zone, its significance and progress, The purpose, significance, originality, guidelines and methodology of the paper are also put forward. Part II. .The lessons drawn from the relevant studies and experiments at home and abroad. This part deals mainly with a generalization and a retrospect of the dynamic development of hi-tech zones both at home and abroad in the past 20 years. Part III. The originality represented by Yangling Demostration zone. This part first illustrates the conception of hi-tech and agricultural hi-tech, then reviews the global 64 agricultural hi-tech development, defines its fundamental functions and characteristics, and lastly expounds the merits and weaknesses of Yangling. Part IV. The structure of the development of Yangling Zone. The paper inventively and detailedly analyses the three components of the zone core subzone, security subzone and radiation subzone, advocating an implementation of the following policy: ie, promote industries through science, boost the zone through industries, rejuvenate the village with the aid of the zone, motivate farmers under the guidance of the village, and push forward the demostration process. Part V. The technical route for the industrial development of the zone. The core task at present is to enhance industrial performance. The writer holds that a technical route involving ntroducing, digesting, inventing and demostrating?should be adopted. Part VI. The development of Yangling necessitates a well-coordinated endeavors. Seven suggestions are put forward.
