Shenzhen City, The Adjustment Of Industrial Structure And Employment Structure Optimization Countermeasures

Since its establishment of Special Economic Zone in 1979, Shenzhen has leapt from a traditional agricultural society into a modem industrial one through a twenty-year-period development. From 1979 to 2000, the annual GDP increasing rate in Shenzhen reached 31.2%, even the industrial structure has been changed radically. The proportion among agriculture, industry and tertiary industry transformed from 37:20.5:42.5 in 1979 to 1.2:50.5:48.3 in 2000. Thus the whole employment structure changed accordingly following the adjustment and upgrading of the industrial structure. Yet there is rare research in this field to elaborate how this structural change has affected the employment structure or how it has improved or hindered the further adjustment of the whole industrial structure. Thus this article comes out, with the purpose of investigating the employment structure and probing into the relationship between the industrial structure and the employment structure along with the evolution of industrial structure.While introducing the theory of industrial structure and employment structure, the article analyzes the industrial structure of the previous years in Shenzhen, its development trends, characteristics and existing problems. It also summarizes the evolution history of industrial structure in Shenzhen. Based on data, it comes to a conclusion that the transformation of structure in Shenzhen rose out of the change of the industrial structural adjustment, while the two are now tending to assort with each other.On this basis, the article hereby sets forth some political thoughts about how to adjust effectively both the industrial structure and the employment structure, how to optimize the industrial structure, thus to enhance our ability of competition and boost a prosperous future for Shenzhen.
