Dalian City Garment Industry Of The Exhibition Industry Development Model

As a new emerging industry, exhibition economy has become a new emerging area for economic growth and has been attached great importance by governments at all levels and relevant enterprises. In the year 1996, CPC Dalian committee and Dalian Municipal People抯 Government proclaimed that exhibition industry which majors in garment display is a significant aspect in foreign investment, foreign trade, opening economy and outside-oriented exhibition. Meanwhile, garment exhibition industry is also considered a critical measure in promoting the outside-oriented economy. Thus the strategic status of garment exhibition industry in economic development and opening-up is clarified, which marks the establishment a new industry field and an emerging new pillar industry. The thesis offers a clear definition for garment exhibition industry, gives a detailed explanation for the engine role played by the industry in boosting Dalian city economy. The thesis also provides an analysis on the current situation and problems of garment exhibition industry and opportunities and challenges that it is facing.
