Spatial Structure Of Urban System In Shandong Province And Its Optimization

As one of the strongest provinces in economy, urbanization of Shandong is inthe period of rapid development, and the study about Shandong urban is graduallyincreasing. Combined the methods of qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis,basic status, forming mechanism and problems were studied, and the measures ofadjust and optimization were put forward to make the strategy of Shandong urban,from the angle of geography and economy.Since the study of spatial structure of Shandong urban system is one of the most importantcontent of urban system study, lots of works have been done for the century. In the first section ofthis paper, fundamental theories, including central place theory, megalopolis theory and theory ofurban spatial interaction, were totaled and analyzed. The purpose is to dissect the meaning to thestudy of spatial structure of Shandong urban system and build the frame of theory.Based on the method of quantitative analysis, in the second section the basic data ofShandong urban was calculated and compared applying the formula of Gravity mode andBreaking point. As a result, the strength of the population and economy of seventeen district citiesand flve sample cities were ranked, and the matrix of traverse and vertical gravity each other wasformed. According to the above, with the method of comprehensive analysis, induce andreasoning, four status were concluded: Oomni-directional opening sector structure ~differentbi-directional gravity c two-core structure (41)center of gravity excursion to the sea.In the third section, the mechanism of the spatial structure of Shandong province wasdiscussed. The spatial structure of urban system was influenced and restricted by many factors,including policy, nature, economy, population and social culture history. And every factor canaccelerate or limit the forming. Viewing the situation of Shandong province, this paper analyzedthe mechanism of Shandong urban system from five facets.The intent of this paper is to adjust and optimize scientifically the spatial structure ofShandong urban system by taking the advantages and avoiding the disadvantages aftersummarizing the basic characters and finding the problems of spatial structure of Shandong urbansystem. In the fourth Section, based on the compare of Shandong province with other urbandcnsencss regions oF our country. the problems of the low degree of economy convergency,interior inconsistent of the spatial structure of urban system and low development potential ofinland cities were found. Then the mode of urban strap and urban region of Shandong urbandevelopment in the 21st century was posed. Based on the situation of Shandong urban and theIIbasic principle of economy development, this mode, which makes up the deficiency of Shandongurban in the past and Suits to the standard of modem urban, can instruct feasibly and practicallythe development of Shandong urban system in the 21st century.
