Da Yuan Tong Zhi, complied in 3rd year of Renzhong Dynasty (1316), and enforced in 3rd year of Yingzhong Dynasty (1323) was the first formal and systmatic cale in the legislatune history of Yuan Empire. The book, Yuan History, Compiled in hush, was generally considered being enacted under the rule of Emperor Yingzhong and originated from Feng Xian Hong Gang by historian. The thesis advocates that such an idea is wrong on grounds of sufficient and confidencial historical materials. Because of the vanish of Da Yuan Tong Zhi and the mistaken of original of Criminology of Yuan History as Da Yuan Tong Zhi, the contents of Da Yan Tong Zhi is normally misunderstood as 20 chapters of Crimindogy of Yuan History. With Xing Tong Fu Shu and other revelant materials, the thesis makes a textual research on the contents of Precedents and Tiao Ge of Da yuan Tong Zhi The precedent Law in Da Yuan Tong Zhi is a callection of Laws embeded in precedents, not by legslation. And it also proves the dose relationships Between Tiao Ge and Precedents. While analyzing Da Yuan Tong Zhi vs contents the thesis argues that Da Yuan Tong Zhi bares a character of combination of both Mogulia and Chinese cultures, on a basis that it adopted its contents frorafedual codes while formed on the ground of Mongulia laws.
