Globalization Township Enterprise Cluster Competitiveness Study

The Township Enterprise Clusters (TECs) in China which were grown up with the development of division and specialization, has made great progress due to Economic Reform and the Open Policy. In Guangdong Province, these clusters have played a leading role in speeding up the economy development. However, with the accelerating pace of economic globalization, having completing the primitive capital accumulation of elemental phase, most of them lost their competitive advantages of special location and out-oriented economic style, which were confirmed as the key factors of the clusters' development, and faced more intense competition. There are many problems and difficulties that seriously restrict their further expansion.Focused on the TECs in Guangdong Province, applied the Porter' s Model, the theme firstly discusses the competitive advantage of enterprises clusters, and analyses the factors influencing the clusters competitiveness of township enterprises. Then based on the survey of TECs in Guangdong, the theme studies that the main factors which impact the clusters competitiveness of Guangdong township enterprises are division and specialization, structure innovation, information sharing, culture combination, and technology innovation. Finally the countermeasures which enhance the clusters competitiveness of the township enterprises are discussed.
