With the development of the computer network and the communication technology, the process and delivery of information is beyond the limit of the time and area which makes it a worldwide developing trend for the economy to be web-based and globalized. The new economy models bring the challenges for the traditional models. Because the emergence of the E-commerce meets the need of the new economy. E-commerce has been developing very fast. We ourselves could experience the importance of the E-commerce from the growth of the E-commerce websites to the promotion of the media. E-commerce provides not only the new developing space for the enterprises, but also the new ways to improve the competitive abilities. E-commerce is becoming the main commercial model in the knowledge economy era. The enterprise who did not grasp the opportunity to develop E-commerce will be washed out by the market. So, it is a must for every enterprise to develop E-commerce.Facing with the prosperous development of E-commerce, What's the strategy of the SINOPEC who is one of the world's 500 strongest companies? This article begins with the fundamental knowledge of E-commerce. On the analysis of the necessity of the SINOPEC to develop E-commerce, it discusses the developing strategies which includes the perfecting and rebuilding of the Intranet, organization rebuilding and process reengmeenng, cyber marketing, setting up virtual enterprise, managing supply chains, building e-platform of transaction and developing delivery system. At the end of the article, it introduces the questions for SINOPEC to develop E-commerce.
