Background on the modern corporation cultural management and basis on the related theory of the relationship between the enterprise culture construction and the corporation's operation performance, the thesis concludes that constructing enterprise culture well can promote corporation's core competence. Through the case research on China Life Insurance Company(CLIC), the author attempts to construct excellent enterprise culture of CLIC, elevate its core competence and keep its long-term and fine operation performance. Consequently, the author makes an effort to reveal a good basic method to construct brilliant enterprise culture.The author mainly elaborates and proves his conclusion in three aspects. Firstly, the author, in theory, generalizes the latest research achievements of enterprise culture, the development of dynamic state and the guide role of the management practice of its construction. Secondly, by analyzing the competitive environment and diagnosing the enterprise culture situation of CLIC, the author points out that it is imperative for CLIC to enforce the core competence and react positively to the competition from the foreign and domestic insurance companies. In the meantime, the author advocates that basing on , abstracting and integrating the original enterprise culture, CLIC can build a new one that relies on its ability, adapts to different competitive environment and elevates the corporation's operation performance. Thirdly, by diagnosing the enterprise culture of CLIC, the author refines and integrates the core idea of enterprise culture of CLIC.The innovation of this thesis lies in introducing a new investigation method into abstract diagnosis and research on enterprise culture. Additionally, the author poses that to construct high quality of enterprise culture and to attain thegoal of promoting corporation's core competence, the key is fully to analyze and diagnose the original enterprise culture and accordingly purify it. In this way, the company can construct a new enterprise culture that not only meets the requirement of the competition itself but also adapts to the competitive environment. At the same time, in this way, the company can promote its core competence. If one understands the construction of enterprise culture merely as CI plan or originality, doing so will be unable to play a positive part in the practice of the operation management, even though the desk text and style is well designed.
