China's Textile Industry International Competitiveness

After entering WTO, 《ATC》 became a key factor for the development of our national textile industry . This agreement is a two-sided sword. On one side, It brings the dawn of free trade to the export of our textile and garments. On the other hand, It pushed our textile industry to a platform of international free competition. Our textile industry began a new period of development which rely on competitive power.In this thesis, based on the theory of comparative advantages and mical -poter's theory of competitive advantages, by analyzing the questions in our textile industry, I draw the conclusion that our national textile industry own the comparative advantages but lack of competitive advantages. Finally, I put forwards my proposals in terms of how to change the comparative advantages into competitive advantages and how to improve our textile industry's international competitive power . The main measures are increasing R&D devotion , adjusting the framework of industry and product, realizing the multi-industry and setting up industry clusters.
