Liaoyang Petrochemical Fiber Company The Jinxing Chemical Plant Cleaner Production Mode Of Study

Jinxing chemical plant of Liaoyang petrochemical fiber company is one of the most profitable companies within Liaoyang City. However, it is also one of the most polluted in terms of environmental performance. In the past few years,such environmental issues has impeded its sustainable development and increased the plant's operation cost, which means reduced competitive ability.This paper first introduces the plant's current situation and environmental issues. Then it pointes out that cleaner production will the right approach for the plant to initiate its own environmental program, especially its significance and urgence. Pollution prevention or cleaner production will be the right strategies for the plant to meet with those environmental and social challenges due to their comprehensive environmental considerations and integrated application of ad hoc environmental management tools.The main part of this thesis is a detailed introduction of how the plant should carry out cleaner production audit by considering its reality and conditions. With a detailed description of cleaner production audit processes at Jinxing plant, the relevant experiences and lessons are summarized, which can be refered by other chemical companies.
