With the accelerating steps of urbanization, the contradiction between land and population is more serious and critical. Therefore, to make changes in institution and policy to control the rural-urban land conversion, and to lead the development of cities at a moderate rate is a key question which should be solved immediately. This paper explains the meaning of rural-urban land conversion, summarizes and analyses the state, channels and patterns of rural-urban land convulsions firstly. Then on the base of the prerequisite hypothesis, the author establishes three rural-urban land conversion models, from which the plural linear regression equation is hers best choice through careful case studies of three different regional cities in China. At the end of her paper, the author points out the practical countermeasures to control the rural-urban land conversion, and also gives her concerns about what should be taken notice when using this model.
