Government Information Distortion

In the information era, information, especially reliable information, is the basefor decision-making and the means of control. However, in reality, theinaccuracy of information happens due to various reasons, which affects thesoundness of government decisions. Researchers of Public Management havedone a great study on this subject. Many of them try to resolve this problemwith information management theories. This approach has ignored the factthat people is an important factor. It failed to completely and fundamentallyresolve the issue of inaccurate government information.The issue of inaccuracy of government information cannot be resolved withthe technicality of information management alone. New management theoriesand concepts have to be used. The purpose of this article is to use knowledgemanagement theories to provide a thought process and new ways to resolveinaccuracy of government information.Firstly, use knowledge management theories and to build a learningorganization, or a learning government.Secondly, use the Five Principles of learning government as guiding principleto resolve inaccuracy of government information.
