Logistics means having the right thing, at the right place, at the right time.Logistics, an English term in origin, was first put forward by Peter Drucker, an American scholar, Who is renowned as the forefather of management. After World War II, the logistics shifted from its wide application in business field. With the industrial development, the traditional logistics has changed itself into modern logistics. Starting from the perspective of system project, modern logistics comprehensively considers the interactive effects its equilibrium, thereby expanding the services of traditional logistics and enhancing the quality and efficiency of its services. Hence the considerable reduction of the products' circulation cost, the immediate support to the market competition activities of manufacturing enterprises in the framework of market economy, and the contribution to the development of the enterprise. Therefore, modern logistics, whose theory and application have been widely accepted in the world as a development orientation, is regarded as the third benefit resource besides the material resource and labor resource.Modern logistics service originated from U.S.A., developed on Japan, rip on Europe, expanded it in China. This is a generally acknowledged orbit of historical development of logistics service. The logistics industry of our country has developed swift and violently in recent years, especially the developing state of third party's logistics industry is stronger. With the further quickening opening to the outside world, manufacturing industry, trade and business become protagonists of domestic logistics development, having offered the wide space for enterprise's fast development of third party's logistics, and infrastructure construction raises one new round of climaxes too, obtaining the new achievement in building of logistics' informationization and standardization, at the same time the logistics is educated to move towards the norm too, the theoretical research is deepened steadily. In future soon, Chinese logistics industry is sure with the powerful speed of the great-leap-forward development, catch up with and surpass the level of the western logistics service developed country.But at present our country logistics industry oneself has a great deal of shortcoming, and the difficulty faced is unprecedented too. These questions not only come from the external environment, but also evolve from enterprises too; there are objective causes, and there are subjective factors too. All the difficulty has already hampered progress of our country's logistics industry seriously.
