Economic globalization influences the development of transnational companies deeply. The development of technology, information and internet, and the convenience of traffic lead to the amalgamation and the standardization of the whole world. On the other hand, the cultural differences become increasingly obvious among different countries. There are some factors requesting transnational companies to globalize some resource and there are also some other factors requesting them to localize the same one at the same time. And the more complicated and variable the economic environment becomes, the more frequently the dilemma occurs. So it is obligatory to build up an equilibrium system of glocalization to satisfy the requirements of modern management. This paper takes into consideration the changes of the management environment of transnational companies and studies their global and local strategies from new angles. The innovative points in this paper are: a) analyzing the prior theories from new angles and summarizing the relevant concepts and knowledge; b) introducing the core competence system based on the knowledge capitals and the new concept of core competence of glocalization. and expounding the mode and contents of the global and local strategies on the basis of five knowledge capitals; d) establishing the model by which different strategies are selected and constructing the operational platform of strategic selection, both having practical significance for modern transnational business.
