Legitimacy And Ideological Education

Legitimacy as a politics conception means uniformity of political rule and social self-identity system and acceptance, support of social self-identity system. The research about legitimacy can be retrospect to the ancient Greek Aristotle period. Since Weber, a German great thinker, formulated legitimacy theory in the early 20th century for the first time, legitimacy has been a politics pet topic. The cause lies in the fact that legitimacy concerns the possibility and stability of political rule. In the modern party politics, legitimacy is a prerequisite for party being in power. Strong legitimacy can improve political mobilization power to consolidate the ruling party's position and make people inclusive or overlook the ruling party's faults to defuse its risks, and nicely push ahead the ruling party's work to keep down the ruling cost, and effectively repress all opposition to keep the society stable.Ideology as a certain society or class system of ideas is ideological superstructure. It services for a certain class by expressing its fundamental economic interests and political ends. Ideology is very important for the ruling party to assert and upgrade its legitimacy. First, ideology is a prerequisite for the formation of political parties. Secondly, ideology directly proves the ruling party rightful by bright direction of politics. Thirdly, ideology is the criterion of the truth of the rule of law. Finally, the validity that bring the ruling party weighty legitimacy is uncertain and can't insure beneficiary's equality, so the ruling party can't just depend on the validity to obtain enough legitimacy, it must hold strong ideological identification as security.The importance of ideological identification with legitimacy determines that it is important and necessary for the ruling party to consolidate the ruling party's position by strengthening ideological education. The capitalist class persistently consolidates its dominant position by wielding ideological power and imposing forceful ideological infiltration. On the other hand, the ideological evolution in USSR resulted in USSR's drastic change. The foregoing two examples intensely proved that pro and con. To the proletariat, Marxism is the source of power that leads the proletarian party to one and one victory. The law of ideology and the advanced essence of Marxism determine that it is necessary to strengthen ideological education. The disarming and attack of non- proletarian ideology makes the proletarian party risk legitimacy damage any time. So strengthening ideological education is the essential foundation of consolidating the legitimacy of our party.Although strengthening ideological education is essential to consolidating legitimacy, the acceptance and support of people can not be obtained by just depending on the ruling party, it is indispensable to the conscious cognition of people. If the ruling party wants to hoist its legitimacy, it must hoist the people's identification with ideology. Namely, ideology must be attractive, catching, convincing and fighting. So the ruling party must constantly innovate ideology to retain advanced, realistic, inclusive, critical and the subject of people.
