Ideological and political education is a kind of social practice, and is aninteractive process between the educator and the instructors. It has an importantfunction which is to promote social progress and to realize individual all-rounddevelopment. But the premise of its function to play is to get social identity. Thesocial identity study of ideological and political education is not only the inherentdemand for the ideological and political education itself, but also the objectiverequirement of era development. Social identity is one of the important contents ofideological and political education, one of the meaning aim of ideological andpolitical education, the embodiment of the function of ideological and politicaleducation, and it is also the value of ideological and political education. That is also tosay, social identity is the basis and prerequisite to play the sound effects of ideologicaland political education. It is worth noting that the official identification, academicidentification and subject identification provides the feasibility to study social identityof ideological and political education. In the face of the current negative impacts suchas the words of dilemma, resolution and insufficient validity, or the useless theory,obsolete theory and cancel theory of ideological and political education, and so on, wemust face up to the fact that the social identity of ideological and political education islow. But more important thing we can do is to find solutions on the basis of rationalanalysis. The social identity of ideological and political education includesprofessional identity, subject identity, class identity, work identity and practitioneridentity and so on. These contents, which are directly related to the effectiveness ofthe ideological and political education, must be highly valued. According to theprinciple of marxist philosophy that specific issues need specific analysis, the authorputs forward five main promotional paths. That is to say, we should study the socialidentity law of ideological and political education, improve the national identityconsciousness of ideological and political education, optimize the social identityenvironment of ideological and political education, set up the social identity effectivemechanism of ideological and political education, strengthen the social identityposition Settings of ideological and political education.
