Migrant Workers In The New Period Of Political Participation

Modern political participation is a key concept in political science. Political participation is the essence of democracy, the breadth and depth of political participation is an important index to measure the extent of democratic development. This article chooses the peasant-workers, the main body for the object of study, to take the political participation is because the peasant-workers is a special community in our country which appears in the system vicissitude process, special household registration system, the restructuring of our society, traditional political and psychological factor and so on influences caused this not small also growing day by day for the number, quite unique identity and social status of the social groups involved in the political situation in the new period, showing its unique characteristics.This paper consists of three chapters: Chapter I : This part introduces several important concepts like the meaning of peasant-workers, characteristics and the meaning and the importance of political participation of peasant-workers; Chapter II : by existing research results and own observations, author summarizes the status quoof peasant-workers' political participation, including the new features and mainproblems. According to the main problem raised,the author analyizes the reasons; Chapter III: According to the background knowledge of author and the issues raised, author does her best to find out some specific measures to optimize peasant-workers' political participation.
