The Japanese government started to bring ODA program to China into operation on the year of 1979. As the friendly symbol of China and Japan, and important parts of China and Japan economic and trade cooperation, Japan's ODA to China was once the most important parts of China and Japan economic relations.Recently, because Japan government changed its ODA policy, the quantity of Japan's ODA to China became less and less.We should see that, compared with before today's China becomes stronger and powerful. And logically, the stopping of Japan's ODA to China is normal. But for the two important countries, without the program of Japan's ODA to China, how to keep their political and economic relations as usual as before? And how to find new ways to get the economy of two countries developed?This paper will try to give some answer. It can be divided into six parts. The First part, the preface, introduces what ODA and Japan ODA are, and the operation of Japan ODA to China. The second part, looks back upon the history of Japan's ODA and introduces its birth background and the different ODA policies of Japanese government. Third, analyzing how to correctly deal with the contribution of Japan ODA to China? The forth part, analyzes why Japanese government changed the policy of ODA to China. The fifth part, tries to discuss how to develop the economic relations between China and Japan after the quitting of Japan's ODA to China. The sixth part, the epilogue part, we should keep calm to deal with the stopping of Japan ODA to China.This paper believes that, the stopping of Japan ODA to China will give some minus affection to China in recent period. But in a long period, China is able to get a good develop on its own effort. China and Japan will find new methods to keep relations healthily developing.
