Every country has its national image when it was born in the world. But the national image didn't give its effect on international relations system until now. In recent years, as the globalization trend is stronger and stronger, the theory and practice value of the national image is more and more important. A good national image is favorable to nation strategy, helps to supply the appropriated conditions to country's developing and increases a country's fascination. In recent years, many countries focus on the national image. The study of the national image includes many different subjects, which is due to its complexity and cross-disciplinary trait. At present, many scholars have made fruitful achievements with cross-disciplinary approaches.The thesis tries to conduct an analysis about the theory and practice value of the national image by applying constructivist approach. National image: the interuational society impression and the evaluation about a spectacular nation through communication among countries. The impression is based on the total conditions of this country. The total condition of a country is basic material of the national image construction. It includes the speed, quality, structure, and the expectation of the development. A country's national image is also decided by the impression and appraisement from other members of the international society. After the theory analysis, this thesis also discussed its strategy value in the global situation. Based on these analysis and discussion, we can find out the effective basis to define the national image and the strategy about broadcasting the national image effectively. This has important practical significance to China in the period of peaceful development.
