Under the new international situation of “the unprecedented change of the century”,the timely innovation of guiding ideology,methodology,content elements,communication subjects and channels has become the key project of Chinese national image communication to the outside world.The two-way communication and interaction between Eastern and Western cultures have cultivated new subjects of international communication such as Li Ziqi and Guo Jierui.Relying on the interactive properties of social media platforms and their fans’ resources,the recommendations based on data flowing and interest distribution mechanisms,Li Ziqi and Guo Jierui have produced a series of videos about Chinese social development,regional humanities and customs,and traditional crafts and culture from their special perspectives in different cultures and regions,which have triggered empathy and resonance among audiences,and become microscopic windows to explore the deeper texture of China,which has offered some new ideas for innovating the international communication of Chinese national image.In this study,Li Ziqi’s Handmade Cloth Shoes and Guo Jierui’s I Helped Sell Coffee in Yunnan,are selected as the research object,and a total of 3,000 comments in the comment section are summarized to analyze the creation techniques and connotations of the works,explore the audience’s attitudes and emotional trends in watching the videos,and then conclude the significant role of empathic creation techniques in content dissemination.On this basis,some questionnaires and interviews are also employed in this study to further demonstrate the three-dimensional relationship between multiple subjects,empathy,and national image and their interactive construction,in order to explore the new ways of content production,new paths of storytelling and new strategies of image creation in the current Chinese national image shaping and communication.Based on the above analysis and discussion,this study points out that in the process of shaping and communicating China’s national image guided by empathy,it is necessary to first seek the base of empathy and establish the cognition of empathy communication across cultures and countries.This requires the interpretation of Chinese ideas and the enhancement of cultural value identity;the aspiration of humanistic sentiment and the connotation of empathy;and the integration of common issues in the world to create a Chinese narrative model.Secondly,we should strive for interactive participation and create an interactive communication system with multiple subjects and elements.This requires the coupling of multiple content elements to enrich the texture of the national image;the construction of a team of communication talents,the whole population and the whole region to spread;the realization of a high degree of integration between China and foreign countries to expand the circle of friends and good partners. |
