EU immigration control policy, as the product of given period, is an important component part of the EU immigration policy since the 1970s. Instantaneously it has been a serious issue for the EU member states with the development of economic and social development. Under increasing migration pressure, how to control and manage migration is becoming an important economic and social agenda at present stage of EU. All member states are concerning about it.Since the 1970s, the depression of EU's economy, political conservative, and a great number of immigrants into EU, which have multiple effects in various aspects including economic, political and social facets, eventually leads to the EU immigration control policy. EU immigration control policy exists in a series of basic treaties, but represents in some specific control measures. It have developed specific measures of all links since immigrants entering the country covering visas, border controls, repatriation, refugees, and etc. It is both a comprehensive and open policy system. The goal of this system is to encourage the entry of high-tech talent, restricting low-skilled workers and crackdown on illegal immigration. It has been basically stable after years of implementation. However, in new ages there exist many challenges, including the EU's eastward expansion, the uncoordinated policies between EU and member states, and the spread of anti-immigration control, which affected the future of EU immigration control policy. Immigration is essentially a way of labor mobility and China is in the stage of accelerating at present. Therefore, the research of EU policy on immigration control will give inspiration on how to manage external and internal flow of labor in China.
