The development of the relationship between China and Japan is not only an issue concerning the understanding and collaboration between the two countries' governments, more importantly,it is based on the understanding and trust between the citizens of both countries.Currently, the ratio of the Japanese that feel closely to the Chinese citizens is relatively low.How did the Japanese's view of the Chinese come about? What would be an effective way to improve the way Japanese citizens look at the Chinese? The cause of the Japanese's perspective of the Chinese can be separated into five parts:human psychology, the special relationship between China and Japan, indirect information, the Chinese culture and direct communication.Due to the first three reasons,a significant amount of the way the Japanese view the Chinese people are prejudice and fixed. However, according to a previously conducted survey, the views of the Japanese citizens that have had direct communications with the Chinese citizens and the ones that have not differ significantly.Through the research and studies of these differences,I believe that direct contact between the Chinese and Japanese citizens is crucial to shaping the way Japanese view the Chinese. How would direct communication affect the Japanese view of the Chinese people? In what ways would direct communication alter the way Japanese look at the Chinese citizens? This article will discuss these issues.Currently, the rate of direct communication between the Chinese citizens and Japanese citizens is still relatively low. Therefore, there is definitely room for improvement.I hope this article will help increase the exchange of ideas as well as improve the relationship between China and Japan.
