Population aging is a common problem all over the world. As a result of China's "non-rich aging first" special conditions, pension issue has become a very serious social problem. On the basis of learning from the experience of old-age pension in western countries, we proposed and implemented a new way of old-age pension, which is aging at home.Tangqiao community has carried out aging at home services since 2002. During 7-year old-age home services, there existed many contradictions between supply and demand because of different kind of factors, such as the limited scope of services, the contents of a single service, the elderly and mental health needs of the demand can not be met and so on, which are the key issues for the aging at home in the community services.This article will analyse the needed services of the elderly in Tangqiao community, who needs aging services on the basis of the actual needs of the elderly. At the same time, it will comprehensively look into the factors that affect the needs on the basis of the individual and integrated environments. According to the study and learning from the experiences of western countries, it will give some suggestions on how to improve and enhance the services for the aging at home to meet the multi-needs of the elderly.There are five parts in this article. In the first part, it describes the background, objectives and methods of the research and explained the relevant concepts and theories combined with the studies at home and abroad. In the second part, it systematically analyses the needs of the elderly in Tangqiao community. In the third part, it focuses on the factors that affect the service needs of the elderly. In the forth part, it introduces the beneficial experiences of aging at home in China and other countries and draws inspiration. In the fifth part, it discusses the research and gives suggestions on how to improve and enhance the services for the aging at home.
