The end of the Cold War and the disunion of the Soviet Union brought about great changes in the geopolitical pattern of Central Asia. Five countries in Central Asia are located in the connection area between the European continent and the Asian continent. For the rich petroleum and gas resources, the area has unavoidably become the target chased by the great powers all over the world. As the only superpower in the world, the United States would act as the main role in the chase. Being the neighbor country, China has a closer and sensitive tie with these countries in national security and economic field. Therefore, the study on the influence of U.S. post-Cold War strategy in Central Asia on China and China's countermeasures are obviously necessary and demanding. The followings are the analysis of the influence of U.S. post-Cold War strategy in Central Asia on China and China's countermeasures from four aspects:Part One: The dissertation analyses U.S. post-Cold War strategy in Central Asia and the development of Central Asia's security situation. The interference of U.S. in Central Asia apparently involves so many strategic factors: to block Russian's rejuvenation, to hold back China's rising, to prevent the expansion of Islamic fundamentalism, in particular to control the exploration, transportation of petroleum and gas resources, thus making the supply of energy diversification. In order to fulfill the strategic purposes, America adjusted its policies in economy, military and security in time to the international situation.Part Two: The Middle-Asia strategic policies of America would unavoidably meet with collisions and cooperation with the countries in the neighborhood. Meanwhile, China and U.S. cooperate with each other in Central Asia in some fields because of the bilateral common benefits. The dissertation analyses China's and America's security affairs with Central Asia respectively, and finally summarizes the common benefits and conflicts in Central Asia between U.S. and China.Part Three: Here is mainly U.S. policies' influence on China and the restrictions of the implementation of U.S. strategy in Central Asia. The Central Asia countries share the 3,000-km border with China. The carrying-out of U.S. Middle-Asia strategy would certainly be a threat to China's economy security, border area's security and the unity of our country, energy strategy and foreign policy. Unavoidably U.S. will suffer restrictions from various aspects.Part Four: The dissertation firstly forecasts the trend of America's strategy in Central Asia and then suggests China should take corresponding countermeasures on military, energy, foreign policy and economy to promote the peace of Central Asia.
