Dalian City Junior High School Extra-curricular Reading Survey Research

Nowadays, students'study no longer focus on the exams but pay more attention to how to improve students'abilities for their whole life. Reading is one of the most important ones. However, reading in class in is too limited to satisfy us. What teachers should do is to help students form the ability to read after class. What is a pity that by my reach among the students in senior schools in Dalian, students read few books which are too easy for them, and read with little emotion, lack of interests. There are four main reasons, besides the students themselves; their teachers didn't give effective directions. At school, the senior high school entrance exams give both the students and school too much pressure, the reading rooms become useless. In their family, parents encourage students to read for exams more than interests and abilities. In the essay, I give some suggestions on making the reading after class more reasonable and how to solve all these problems above.
