Construction Of Urban And Rural Development Problems In The Context Of A Harmonious Society

In China, the theory sphere has started to do research on the strategy of coordinating urban and rural development, since Jiang Zemin brought forth the great strategy on the Sixteenth National People's Congress. The article did deeper quest and research on some noticeable problems which exited in coordinating urban and rural development and tried to make some more rationable and effective suggestion.Under the guiding thought of Marxism's dialectical materialism and historical materialism and from the perspectives of the history and reality of theory and fact, this article, exhaustively, did some analyses to the problem of coordinating urban and rural development in the background of constructing the socialist harmonious society, with the help of the knowledge of the political, history, sociology, economics etc. and the methods of literature consultation, theoretical analysis, survey and so on.This paper receives three conclusions. First, it briefly summarized the meaning of coordinating the urban and the rural development. Second, it specially emphasizes the importance of farmer's settling down in towns. The paper showes that the housing system has so many serious drawbacks that it should be reformed, and some creative solutions were brought forward afterwards. Third, it advocates that farmers should be given the permanent inheritance rights to contracted land, and allowed to resale it.The main conclusions reached in this research provide important references for us to correctly understand the meaning of coordinating urban and rural development, and for our Party to contemplate on the concrete measures of it. If they can be adopted and put into practice, the process of coordinating urban and rural development in our country will greatly speed up.
