The Plight Of The Supply Of Basic Education In Rural And Way Out

Elementary education is not only one of the basic projects for China's Enrich the Country through Science and Education Strategy, and a way to improve people's all-round development, but also acts as a pillar for the construction of New Socialist Countryside and the construction of a Harmonious Socialist Society. It is well known that the development level of education between urban areas and rural areas are quite unbalanced because of the urban-rural dual structure, under which the elementary education in the countryside is in an inferior position. Since 2001, a new system aimed to solve the problem in resource distribution in the rural area was introduced. It clearly defined that the elementary education in the countryside will be regulated by the State Department and ran by the different levels of the government, with the County Government taking the main responsibility. However, despite its benefit in lightening the Township Government's financial burden, such design has many disadvantages because of the difficulties in the County-level financial. This article will analyze the supply problems in rural areas'elementary education. What's more, some feasible suggestions for improvement will be given.
