In today's world-wide wave of education reform, "teachers and their professional development" has become an issue that was highly concerned in the educational research and practice. Teachers' professional growth and development is inseparable from self-evaluation and reflection of teachers. The process of teachers' self-evaluation is one of the important ways of their self-development. Nowadays, quality improvement and professional development of preschool teachers is become a key topic of national concern. Self-evaluation of preschool teachers was gradually taken attention and recognition.Literature, questionnaire and interview was used in this paper,193 preschool teachers from 13 kindergartens in Xi'an were investigated.Specific research includes two parts:Part One:preschool teachers'self-evaluation on their education and teaching. It includes educational goals, educational content, educational environment, education organization and strategy, It was called that the main evaluation of kindergarten teachers; part Two:preschool teachers'evaluation to others'(including the kindergarten leadership, colleagues, parents and childrens) evaluation of their education, It was called that preschool teachers' evaluation of assessment of others.According to the study of the status and results, we are very glad to found there are optimistic situation in the preschool teacher's self assessment,1.Preschool teacher's self assessment satisfaction is high in education teaching work, especially in the education goal and the education content.2. Preschool teacher also pay attention to others for the evaluation of teachers'education and teaching, and the evaluation is also good, especially in children and parents evaluation. But, there are problems can be found in preschool teachers'self-evaluation:1. Preschool teachers still need to strengthen the concept of self-evaluation.2. Preschool teachers' self-assessment form and method is single.3.Teacher self-evaluation capacity needs to be improved; there are also problems in preschool teachers' self-evaluation of the others'evaluation:1.There is lack of preschool teachers' self-evaluation mechanism.2.Kindergarten's leader is lack of attention and guidance for teachers' self-evaluation.3.The communication is less between in the old and the young teachers.This paper put forward strategies and advices for the preschool teachers'self-evaluation. Recommendations from the preschool teachers:Teachers should strengthen the understanding of the role of self-evaluation, and put the awareness into action; Teachers should study more self-evaluation approaches:To improve teachers'self-evaluation ability and professional development. The suggestions to the others:Pay full attention to the developing of the teachers' self-evaluation and establish a good teachers' self-assessment mechanism which are suit their own kindergarten; Kindergarten leader should value and guide the teachers' self-evaluation; Colleagues should strengthen the communication between each other and make progress together.The purpose of the author is to promote preschool teachers' professional capacity and teachers' level of kindergartens and to give preschool teachers the experience and lessons of many others' self-evaluation with this study.
