Around these years,Chinese Hanban and some other organizations send more andmore Chinese teachers to Thailand. And the numbers of the school in Thailand thatestablished Chinese course increased.Now Chinese learning is more popular inThailand than before.About the situation of Thai students’ Chinese learning and someother researches of Chinese learning,there are many scholars are studying them.For Ihad taught in Bangkok Thailand,I did some surveys about the individual differences ofThai middle school students in Chinese learning.This study can benefit Chinese teaching and improve the quality of TCSL.As weknow,the learner is the center of teaching.We teachers should pay more attention to thestudy of language learners.The individual factors are the basic features that theselanguage learners are different from others,such as age,sex,family background,learningmotivation,learning strategy and others.Therefore,it has great practical meaning inChinese teaching to discuss the influence of the individual factors in Chinese languagelearning.Moreover,the study also can promote the theory of TCSL.The core of theTCSL is the theory of the second language acquisition.There are many theories of thesecond language acquisition that has been used in the studies of TCSL,so the basicframe of TCSL theory has been established gradually.This article will discusssomething about the second language acquisition such as learning motivation,learningstrategy,age and sex.The article is divided in five parts:Chapter one is an introduction,it tells us the background and thegoal,demonstrates the practical and theoretical meanings,sums up some studiesbefore,introduces the methods of the study.Chapter two introduces the individual factors of language learners according tothe theory of the second language acquisition.It pays more attention to the concerningpoints in this article,such as the external factor--family background,the internalfactors--age,sex,learning motivation and learning strategy.Chapter three introduces the theoretical arguments of this questinnaire and how isthis questinnaire organized.Also you will know the writer analyze data with StatisticalProduct and Service Solutions(SPSS).Chapter four is the emphasis in this article.The writer analyzes in two importantaspects--learning motivation and learning strategy.The study of the learning motivation includes the overall result,the relationship of the learning motivation and externalfactors,the research result of the learning motivation and some other internalfactors.About the study of the learning strategy,there are the overall result,therelationship of the learning strategy and the external factors,the research result of thelearning strategy and some other internal factors.Chapter five probes into the meaning of these research results to TCSL.Thearticle gives several suggestions about how to stimulating Chinese learning motivationand how to form good strategies in Chinese learning.
