Mathematics teaching is a guide students to experiment with a certain tool or material to discover new teaching techniques or ways to explore the conclusions of law. In the trend of international education reform, many domestic colleges and universities have set up a special mathematical experiment courses to meet the new demands of a new era for personnel training. In high school teaching mathematical experiment is still in the exploratory stage to try.In this paper, the use of literature, experimental research, action research, surveys and other research methods to test the theory and practice of teaching high school mathematics to explore. First, combing the literature, based on the concept of mathematics and mathematical experiments to define experimental teaching, experimental teaching of mathematics to analyze current situation points out the feasibility and necessity of experimental teaching in high school; Secondly, education, psychology explain the theoretical basis of the experimental aspects of science teaching, summarized its characteristics, proposed basic principles of teaching high school mathematics experimental design, the basic aspects of teaching and teaching mode classification:"The creation of experimental conditions-experiments and activities-Induction and conjecture-Reflections validation-application and development"; Finally, with the author’s experimental teaching practices, institutions draw high school mathematics teaching content framework, and Set examples about four mathematics experimental subjects, Meanwhile, design relative experimental reports, practice the analysis and design the questionnaire and make a survey of the development of two different classes (one experienced mathematics experimental teaching while the other didn’t), make a comparison and conclude the effectiveness of mathematics experimental teaching.Studies have shown that:to carry out experimental teaching mathematics in high school is feasible, necessary and effective. It can assist traditional classroom teaching, will help improve students’ interest in learning math, to help students understand the nature of mathematical knowledge and cultivate students’ ability to explore issues, to stimulate students’ creative potential.
