In the reform of science education, people increasingly pay attention to the development of students’logical thinking ability. Ongoing new round of basic education curriculum reform made it clear that an important purpose of science education is to improve students’ scientific literacy.In this paper, contrary to the phenomenon of the lower high school students thinking ability, and the reflection of the status of physical education.Combined with the spirit of the new curriculum reform in science education theory, on the basis of the theory of science education and education repetition, make a point of put history of physics into high school physics teaching to develop students’thinking ability, analysis of the status quo at home and abroad in this field. Explore the importance and feasibility of using history of physics to develop students logical thinking ability, explore the history of physics in developing students’ logical thinking ability on content selection, implementation of the principles and instructional design, and give cases of practical exploration and the achieved positive results in teaching practice.
