The problem of college students’ employment has become the focus of social attention, and the problem of handicapped college students’employment has also received the wide attention of the society. Although the government has issued relevant policies in order to ensure the employment for the handicapped students, the challenge of employment for the handicapped students will be greater in the context of the current severe employment situation.How to help the handicapped students cope with the employment pressure? This article studies the handicapped students’employment psychology and its causes by interviewing17students in higher vocational college and doing field research of the college. The handicapped students’employment psychology is as follows:tension, anxiety; inferiority and cowardice, worry about discrimination; unusual dependence on families, passiveness, indifference; stubborn; positiveness and optimism, confident in five aspects. Previous studies have neglected the handicapped students’self-confidence and optimism. However, according to my summary of the interview, these handicapped students I interviewed have positive and optimistic mentality. They actively seek employment opportunities, and have their own views and opinions towards employment. Although there will be inferiority, cowardice and tension, but it will not bother them actively looking for jobs. This article explores the cause of employment psychology from the following aspects:social environment, college, family and individuals. The formation of disabled normal college students’ employment psychology is connected with multiple ways. The studies of disabled normal college students show that employment policy of normal college students’ restricts the disabled college students in employment to a large extent. Four students of the twelve students I interviewed could not be admitted to the teacher qualification certificate, which prevent them from finding jobs.This paper discusses the disabled college students’ employment ability and its influencing factors and analyzes the four aspects of the handicapped students employment ability—professional knowledge and skills, generic skills, personal quality and ability of career planning. These abilities and their personal development are closely connected with college, family and society. Finally, this paper discusses the handicapped students’ psychological adjustment of employment and effective way to promote the employment ability from two aspects:school and society policy. The strategic reform of talent cultivation target can adjust the related specialties, enrich the content of skills courses, and promote the teachers’ teaching. Also, cultivation of the disabled employment planning ability can enhance the employment ability of the handicapped college students.
