In the day of film and television industry booming, uneven film and TV artworks are making a profound influence on physical and mental development ofyoung people every minute. As the ideological torchbearers of students, the trainersof the flowers of our motherland and the guiders of pillars of the nation, teachersneed to improve their film and television art literacy eagerly and educate studentson film and television art literacy, helping young children hasten after benefit andavoid damage sailing in the sea of film and television works of art. This researchaims at knowing the current situation of film and television art literacy of middleschool teachers, finding the existing problems, and then making suggestions on itto improve the literacy of middle school teachers and then educate students on filmand television art literacy, and improve the literacy of teenagers at last to keepthem sail in right direction. Using documentation method and questionnairessurvey, investigate two middle schools in Rizhao into the film and television artliteracy of teachers. The existing problems mainly include: lack basic film andtelevision art knowledge; couldn’t choose the appropriate film and TV art quicklyaccording to the need; lack the ability of understanding the correct meaning of thefilm and television art ability and critical spirit; don’t have comprehensiveperspective while appreciating quickly the film and television art works; rarelyreflect things and write up film; ignore the teaching function of film and televisionworks of art, and seldom edit, and know little about relevant laws and regulations;rarely create film and TV art works to express their demands and apply to teaching;haven’t realized the necessity of the film and television art literacy education to thestudent, and seldom conduct relevant education to students. Finally pointedly putforward strategies to improve the film and television art literacy of middle schoolteachers: the government and education management department conduct supportand leadership; undertake on-the-job training on film and television art literacy formiddle school teacher; develop film and television art literacy education in college;build a team of film and television art literacy education experts; establish athree-dimensional model of resource sharing in university and middle schools,shaping an open inclusive learning environment. Two innovations are mainlyincluded in the research. First, the research field is new. At present, researches onfilm and television art literacy of middle school teachers in China are few.International researches are mainly about the professional production of film and television works of art and higher education, and few are on middle schoolteachers. This article is just meeting the needs. Second, the result of the researchhas both theoretic and practical significance. It can not only help improve teachers’evaluation criterion, and enrich the educational theory of middle school and evencollege, but also help to improve the film and television art literacy of middleschool teachers and middle school students and ordinary people.
