Research On Inquiry Teaching Of "Political Life"

Politics&Life, an important part in China’s school education, serves to cultivate students’nice moral qualities thus taking a vital position in the whole education system. While the economy is developing by leaps and bounds, the education system is accordingly making great changes. On the one hand, higher expectations on students’quality are put forward in the background of the new round of curriculum reform; on the other, students are short of creative awareness and practical skills, which is the doomed result of the traditional way of teaching in which the teachers dominate the class talk and the students follow the teachers’steps closely in both study contents and way of thinking. In the new era when high quality professionals are needed, the traditional way of teaching can not fit in with the education system development as it’s doing no good to the shaping of the students’moral qualities and the students’practical skills cultivation. Fortunately, probing teaching is coming to the rescue and it is widely recognized and accepted in teaching. This is a new teaching method which attaches importance to students’practical skills, but the positive effect it brings us is still far from optimistic. It’s hard to implement the new teaching method in the teaching of Politics and Life as it is a subject calling for a solid theoretical background. However, the effectiveness of the new teaching method is obviously seen, so greater effort is expected to put on the new teaching method to improve the students’qualities and practical skills.
