The prosperity of a country depends on education, while the development ofeducation relies on a high-quality group of teachers. As their status has better improved,it has become a common sense that the teachers should be more professional. The newones, who has just been teachers, have got their certificate, however, they can’t becompetent for this job completely. They are meeting with a large number of difficultiesand challenges, such as the unfitness for the new working environment, the lack ofteaching experience and practicing ability, and the poor capacity of implementing newcourses, as a consequent of which, someone has a fear of teaching and even want to quitthis job. Based on these realities, this research puts forward some theories and strategieson the profession development of the new, in order to help them go through the key timeof this career smoothly and be a qualified one.To make the results of this research possessed with practical value and theoreticalmeaning, this article adopts three kinds of methods: the questionnaire, the interview andthe literature. I set the teachers from eight primary schools of Xigang district of Daliancity as the subjects, with a plenty of reading of the documents on new teachers’profession development home and abroad, I design a questionnaire including fouraspects: professional emotion, professional knowledge, professional ability andprofessional demands, carrying out in-depth research. To sum up, the main problems ofprimary school new teachers’ professional development are the vague of theirprofessional ideal, the imperfection of their professional knowledge framework, theobvious lack of practical teaching ability. The reasons are as follows: the deficiencyhumanistic concern the schools show to the new teachers, the new ones’ sufficientpreparation for their professional development, the short of direction and efficiency ofschool-based curriculum training work, and the neglected foster to the normal collegestudents. According to the analysis above, this article raises four strategies: First, theschools should create excellent external environment for the new teachers, such asreducing their work capacity, build up a supporting group, creating good school atmosphere, analyzing the new teachers rationally and providing them with outingstudying opportunities; Second, we should help the new teachers improve theireducational wisdom as they develop by themselves, such as drawing up the owndeveloping plans, launching effective teaching reconsideration; Third, we ought to setup school originally training which based on the new teachers demands, such asbuilding mentoring system, making teaching demonstration, forward visiting classesand collective preparation for the courses; Fourth, we should make further efforts toperfect normal universities educational practice, which can enhance the students’practical ability, such as enriching the contents and forms of the practice, extending thepractical time properly, strengthening the cooperation between the normal universitiesand the junior schools and building up the sophisticated analysis system of educationpractice.
