A Study On The Orientation Of Local Normal Colleges

With the rapid development of the economy and constant deepening of the highereducational reform, higher education will be in a new era of vigorousdevelopment.As the talent training institutions for our country, the colleges anduniversities are playing an important role in the social development and rapideconomic growth. The local normal colleges, as a branch of the local highereducational system, have been training a large number of qualified teachers and othertalents for the enterprises.In the recent years with the implementation of the policy ofexpanding college enrollment, the college students have increased dramatically, so thelocal colleges has been constantly promoting to meet the need of social development.However, affected by complex factors, for example the environment、system reformand students competition. some local normal colleges can go away on the positioning,appearing the unclear positioning and largeness and height, which seriously hinderthe development of higher educational system.This article is based on the related positioning theories, according to selectseveral typical colleges as object of the study for the deep analysis and research fromfour aspects, for example the school–running aim. find the common problems of thelocal normal colleges on the positioning, and finally propose some strategies andsuggestions for the existing problems.This article comprises five chapters: Chapter1is the problem posing, which isabout the study background and significance of the problem, and reviews the studystatus about the problem at home and abroad. Chapter2states the connotation ofpositioning and related positioning theories. Chapter3takes five local normalcolleges as example and makes a empirical analysis on the current positioning.Chapter4lists the main existing problems from the four aspects, and carries on thedetailed analysis on the problems. Chapter5is the last part of the study, this part putsforward the basis of the local normal colleges, and offers some advices to solve theproblems from government and colleges two aspects.
