Family and school is the most important places of education in the process of childdevelopment, parents and school teachers undertake the different family education andschool education responsibilities. As the natural partners in promoting the developmentof children and teaching children experience, the resultant force comes from the parentsand teachers will be more advantageous to the long-term development of children. Dueto the obstacles in special children, parents and teachers need pay more efforts and givemore attentions during the development of special children so as to better adapt to socialdevelopment. Through the parent-school cooperative, parents can get supports fromschools and teachers to ease the psychological pressure, acquire means of scientificmethods in educating and training special children, thereby enhancing the effect offamily education, strengthened the achievements of the school education. At the sametime, the teachers can get supports from parents to know the actual situation of specialchildren, get educational feedbacks from parents, which is better conductive toformulate and adjust the individual education plan. accumulate the teacher’s educationexperience. Therefore. the steady、long-term and in-depth development of parent-schoolcooperative in special schools is a tripartite win-win activity for special children、specialeducation teachers and special children’ parents.This paper chooses special teachers and parents in Rixin School in Dalian asresearch object. In the ways of questionnaire survey and interview survey, the study findand analysis the problems in parent-school cooperative in school for mentally retarded,which contains the un-prominence dominate role of parents; single details incommunicating; the traditional ways of communication; the single-track concentrate of the effects of parent-school cooperation. At the end. the paper gives suggestions fromthe surtitle aspects(parents、schools、station and society) to promoting the developmentof parent-school cooperation in special schools.
