Nowadays, owning to stronger overall national strength and fiercer talent competition of China, specialized classes of arts have been setting up in high schools to keep pace with continuous improvement of enrolment rate and professionalization. While in high school, students who study in these classes accept both literacy classes and specialized classes. Over the past years’statistics of university entrance examinations, is also an important part. This paper will discuss about the contents, methods and other aspects of developing ideology and politics in high schools based on the examples of art specialized high school students of Song Gang High School in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province and analyze the current situation in order to give some effective advice to art specialized students.First of all, this paper will make it clear about the connection of politics and arts. From the point of view of history of human development, politics influences a lot on arts. Though they influence each other, they are not parallel. On the superstructure level, they are not the same. Politics is very important to the superstructure field and is very close to the economy. However, art, as a very special social ideology, is far from economy. It cannot reflect economy foundation directly. Only by politics, they can be linked. Therefore, art must be influenced by the politics. In a society of politics, artists who beyond the politics cannot survive and it is impossible for arts to survive. Within any art works, there are certain politics elements, more or less, directly or indirectly. I will set examples of politicians and artists both at home and aboard in order to explain the relation between politics and art. There are four aspects:complete the system of art students’political course; give a full play to ideological and political educator; respect education rules and fulfill their needs; optimize educational environment. In this way, political course in high school will truly effective.And then, in the perspective of high school art specialized students taking part of literacy class, under the guidance of new curriculum standard and under the analysis of Song Gang high school political courses and many practices, I will try to point out the existing problems.Thirdly, the paper will explain the effectiveness of political course of high school art specialized students and give relative suggestions and advice in order to improve the effectiveness. It is a development and heritage of Chinese national spirit and Chinese excellent ideology and culture if we can well combine social、family and school educations. Promoting the effectiveness, making a full play of high school political course, truly facing the problems that exist and analyzing and solving them will finally foster high school art specialized students growing into successors of socialist cause and constructers of social progress.
