With the application of information technology in the field of education and the development of information technology, education informatization has become the main task of education in the field of a hot topic of concern and urgent. In the education teaching activity embodies the diversity of teacher occupation role, Educational research is generally believed that the teacher acts as a student learning guide, demonstration, administrators, parents and friends, researcher. To fully play the role, teachers must promote their professional development. Therefore, the process of teachers’ information literacy and information education idea to the education reform and education informatization plays a role in adding fuel to the flames in the information technology education in the background.This paper aims to study the current situation of the professional development of middle school teachers in the western region of China under the environment of information technology, based on the case study of Weinan city were investigated, by collecting and analyzing research data, The author describes the current situation of the professional development of middle school teachers in Weinan City. And then the author analyzes the current situation of the professional development of teachers in Weinan. At last, the author put forward some suggestions on the West high school teacher professional development in the information technology environment to change the middle school teacher professional development in Weinan.The author introduces the development background of this research at home and abroad, and then puts forward the main content and the research significance in the first part of this paper.In the second part, the author mainly introduces the theory of teacher professional development under the environment of information technology, including information technology and teacher professional development.In the third part, the author described in detail the research contents and the research design, including design, research on route design and design research process three aspects.The fourth part is the key part of the thesis, the main work is collecting research data. In this part, the author analyzes the survey data and Summarize the existing problems. The fifth part of the article is based on the analysis in the fourth part data, and then the author put forward five suggestions about the professional development of high school teachers in western area under the information technology environment.In the sixth part, the author summarizes the research conclusion and then explains the problems.
