A Study On The Structure And Action Strategy Of Farmers' Cooperative Organization

The organized modern society not only reflects in highly differentiated urban areas but also appears in rural areas. With the advancement of agricultural modernization and urbanization, a group of farmers cooperative organization emerged in recent years. As the inevitable outcome of particular social structure and social relations, farmers cooperative organization is the best way to unite the dispersion farmers, solve the contradiction between "independent work" and "big market" and realize common development. However, the farmers cooperative organizations in infancy are not perfect on its structure and should be further improved.Agritainment association in S village is a farmers cooperative organization established by local households to achieve the scale and standardization of operations and realize common development. Based on the organization system theory, analyzing the structure and building process of agritainment association from three levels like interpersonal relations, group relations and social order in an open and dynamic perspective. The study shows:First, three levels of interaction in organizational system build the association structure. Interpersonal level, economic factors penetrate into the interpersonal relationship after operating farmhouse. In this level, the organization structure presents features such as intertexture of traditional and modern, coexistence of competition and cooperation, simultaneous of Freedom and constraint. Community relations level, in the association, relationship between managers and ordinary farmers is "Leadership-Attachment"; relationship between agritainment business and raw materials providers is "Differences-Mutualism"; relationship between local business and non-native business is "core-edge ". Social order level, government, enterprises and farmer cooperative organization in the same industry affect the shaping of association structure in several ways such as intervention, driving, competition and cooperation. The intricate relationships between three levels and different subsystems of organization system build a dynamic and open association structure. Second, there are also some structural dilemma appear in agritainment association in S village, it urges association members to search for the corresponding operation strategy. At this stage, the structural dilemma of association present as the simplification and homogeneity of cooperation, the imperfection of democratic supervision mechanism and rights protection channel, the shrinking of association autonomy. Based on this, association members should build "Three Layers Action Strategy" to promote the sustainable development of association by enriching cooperation forms, perfecting the features of association structure and protecting the independence and autonomy of association. To move forward a single step, the farmers cooperative organizations in the same industry and area(or county) should promote further cooperation and integration and build a broader cooperative organization.
