Chinese martial arts has a long history, extensive and profound, has a rich traditional culture, it is the essence of Chinese traditional sports culture, and even the history of precipitation in the Chinese nation. In February 2014, martial arts as the compulsory education for the first time in Jiangsu Province, and it will be learn in the content of physical education. Martial arts as the compulsory content of physical education not only have a positive effect on students’ physical exercise and development, but also to enrich the cultural connotation of sports and health courses, at the same time has a positive significance in inheriting the excellent traditional sports culture.Based on the above background, this paper based on the present situation of the martial arts curriculum implementation of junior high school of Jiangsu Province as the main research object. And five cities, Nanjing, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Xuzhou, Lianyungang as representation. the 100 junior middle school principals, sports teachers and students, respectively, the questionnaire survey to obtain corresponding data and information, to find out the current problems existing in the implementation process of martial arts courses, and reveals the reasons, to sum up experience, put forward corresponding.By the investigation and analysis of the martial arts curriculum implementation of junior high school in Jiangsu Province, the conclusion of this article are: The form of the martial arts curriculum in Jiangsu Province based on non-independent course; Most teachers are not fully in accordance with the provisions of curriculum materials to complete the task of teaching martial arts, Part of the physical education teachers chose their martial arts teaching content has a certain randomness; Martial arts focus on teaching content motor skills, not pay attention to the theoretical part of the study, while the set of teaching and student interests there are some difference; Most of the physical education teachers use the traditional methods, such as decomposition method, language method, prevention and correction method, intuitive method, complete method to teach, only a small number of teachers of use modern teaching methods, such as multimedia and other modern advanced technology in the process of teaching; Martial arts course lack of unified standards in terms of evaluation, evaluation method is unitary; Martial arts are more and more popular, but the content is relatively single; Junior high school students only have general understanding of martial arts, and there is a difference in real life; Students interest in martial arts project commenced rate is very low, are not enthusiastic in learning martial arts; Students actively participate in extracurricular activities, less martial arts; The gender is imbalance, the number of male teachers are more than women teachers, and main of them with middle-aged and young, highly educated, low title; The professional teachers of Junior high school cannot meet the needs of new curriculum reform and the needs of the teaching; Teachers training focus on only on the martial arts skills training actions, rarely involves the knowledge of speculative, training efforts need to be strengthened; The understanding of new curriculum reform for Principals is not ideal; Most of the president recongnized the need for martial arts courses, but there is still more than a third principals believe that martial arts is not necessary or optional courses; Principal pay less attention on the venue and the equipment of the martial arts; Teaching fields and facilities cannot fully meet the demand of reality of martial arts teaching.
